  • Spring

Here comes the sun! Along with all this great spring weather comes some great changes at the Affinity Guesthouse. The addition of a new outdoor bathroom facility is a welcome addition for our wedding and event guests. A total of six tastefully appointed stalls now makes the rental of port-a-potties a thing of the past! Yes, I can hear the brides cheering all the way from Cowichan Bay as I pick out light fixtures, mirrors, and sinks!

Also, new to the property is Farmer Abe and his wife Jocelyn. New to the Cowichan Valley and head farmer at Providence Farm, he and his wife will be caretaking the property while doing some food farming with Farmer John of Alderlea Farms. We look forward to our new partnership with you and can’t wait to sample all the fresh food you will be sharing with us!

Please join us in congratulating Christle and Steven of Farm’s Gate Foods & Catering on their soon to be open new restaurant at the Unsworth Vineyard.   We will be posting the opening date on our website and look forward to dining with you soon!

    They’re Baaaaack!

Cooking classes with Chef Steve of Farm’s Gate Foods & Catering will begin again in the New Year with the first class being on Thursday March 20. Currently Chef Steve and his wife Christle are off to visit Steve’s family in France and Belgium and do some culinary research. We can’t wait to taste the results of his explorations!

Just a thought… Cooking Class Gift Certificates make great gifts!

  • Christmas

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at The Affinity Guesthouse! Our Tuesday night cooking class will get the first peek at the house in all its Christmas glory! We hope you love it!
